On the east side of Tikal’s Great Plaza, Temple I was built circa A.D. 732 and houses the elaborate tomb of Jasaw Chaan Ka’wiil I. This structure is also known for its preserved wooden lintels and intricate roof comb. Photo captured by Victoria A. Ingalls. Featured in the 2014 AGSA Calendar.
